Maggie Vandewalle herinnert zich een jeugd verdeeld tussen twee passies: een onverzadigbare liefde voor lezen en een diepe fascinatie voor de natuur. The card stock is thicker than most greeting cards I've bought, so it stands up nicely on a shelf instead of flopping over. The elephant artwork has a soft, hand-drawn feel that made my mom keep it up long after her birthday.
The elephant illustration is what sold me, such a sweet detailed drawing, and the card stock feels thick and sturdy, not flimsy at all. Wrote a thank-you note to my aunt for a generous gift and she actually kept it on her mantel.
